SXSW Interactive - the idea exchange/festival/huge party that all techies want to attend. I'm not there, unfortunately, and was trying to get updates on the fab stuff that is being presented, but it's really hard to get real-time, deep info on this stuff. Sure, everyone is twittering about it, but it's not like you can get in-depth with twitter. Plus, it's making me super jealous because everyone is twittering about badge issues, or letting their friends know which event they can be found at. Not even the big media companies like CNN are posting updates on their sites, damnit.
Jealousy aside, there will be plenty to talk about once it's all over. One of the events I'm really interested in, and many of you might also be, is Drupal founder Dries Buytaert's "R.I.P. Content Management System." All media companies use one, but most tend to use traditional, non-open source content management systems, which need to painfully be molded to their own needs. Buytaert proposes that open-source content management, like Drupal (and I'd like to throw in Movable Type 5.0) is a better, more fluid and community friendly fit.
There seems to be a lot of tweets about several social media talks, too - admittedly this is something that I suspect might be talked to death - either that or I need to attend these events and get schooled. Whatever, those of us on the outside will have to wait until it's all over. I'll keep my eyes open for any meaty updates that I can regurgitate here.

Thanks for looking, because I am having a jealously difficult time finding updates too!
