I know I'm late here - Fable III has been out for several months - but my husband has recently gotten me addicted to this X-Box game. It's a role playing game that doesn't take itself too seriously - there are only two character choices (prince or princess), there isn't a lot of talky-talky, and it has a sense of humor that mirrors Monty Python. Having John Cleese voice the helpful butler enhances that feeling.
I love the pink haired merchants, crazy scenarios like having to go into a D&D like game being played by three wizards, dressing up like a chicken to gain the respect of one of the villages, and my favorite part is the crazy little gnomes that you have to kill as they shout out, in a funny gnome voice, that you're a worthless arse.
Usually, at the end of the day, my idea of a great game is a mindless game of Zuma or Tetris, but this game makes it easy to think just a little bit, laugh a lot, and chill for the evening.
Now, off to kill gnomes.
