Glitter doesn't stop at Christmas - now's the time to pile it on and I mean pile it on everything. I've become obsessed with glitter - first trying out refashioning old Christmas ornaments - you can go crazy and broke perusing Martha's fabulous offerings in craft stores - I had no idea there are so many styles and sizes of glitter available. I've glittered cards and gobbed on gift tags with glitter pens. Moved on to food glittery cookies - who knew you could add so much bling to food?

New Years is the perfect time to perfect your glam look with glittery nail polish. It's really hot right now and you kind find it almost everywhere in a zillion glitzy colors. I've experimented with good effect by using the glitter polish as a top coat on various pinks and reds and even white - pretty snazzy and fun and it doesn't cost much at all. Don't forget the tootsies.

Before you know it I can drag out or buy more red glitter to dazzle my valentines - green for St. Patrick's Day and you can't forget Mardi Gras King Cakes that actually look fairly appetizing good with gold, green and purple glitter. Wishing everyone a Very Shiny 2011.
