Texas Stadium Lives On

When Texas Stadium was imploded and reduced to a pile of rubble a few months ago, many people who held the stadium close to their hearts felt the emotions of saying goodbye to a treasured landmark (even Jerry Jones had tears in his eyes). The good news is the stadium will live on, though not in its original form, but in roadways, parks, and of course our memories.

Almost all of the concrete and steel debris from the demolition will be recycled. The concrete will be used in a future roadway project and the steel will be used in ornate city park gates and fences. Not to mention, this is saving taxpayers millions.
