Our good friend April went to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival this year, and passed along the program book to me when I went ape-shit over an advertisement for Kahlie's Guitars. I don't play (although I did have a pretty cool red one when I was a kid) but I do love to listen to the guitar. Now I'm ready to start decorating with them.
Kahlie's guitars decorated the stage this year, and if you check out her website, you'll see why. She decorates old acoustic guitars with picks, bottle caps, toy animals, bullets, images, paint brushes, silk flowers, dog biscuits, and anything else that she finds handy. The result is amazing, beautiful, soulful, whimsical, and just plain bad-ass. If you're a musician or just a music lover, like me, you'll dig her stuff! Oh yeah, make sure your sound is on, to hear a nice acoustic tune.
