Reduce Reuse Recycle: It is the Cool Thing To Do

May 17, 2010 | Jenny Harvey | Comments (0)

I came across this website that sells some really cool environmentally friendly products. On top of buying some modern "green" products to show off your smarts and thoughtful consideration for our Earth to your peers, a percentage of the profits from sales go to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment.

The products on this website intend to encourage people to use items that don't have to be thrown away and most of the product pages describe how the item specifically helps the environment. Below are a few of my favorite products on the website, but feel free to peruse it yourself to find more favorites at www.reusablebags.com.

This group of 5 bags with broad shoulder straps and a compact container case is nifty. You never know how many groceries you'll end up with, so having more than one trick in your bag will come in handy! View product »

Check out these ultra sleek stainless steel straws! With this product there is no need for those flimsy plastic straws that cause plastic waste and junk up your pantry and kitchen drawers. View product »

We all know to use reusable thermoses in place of water bottles and plastic/styrofoam cups, but how about this thermos that keeps liquids cold or hot for hours, AND makes tea? If you love fresh tea, check out this convenient thermos that has a tea filter. View product »

With this product, you'll have the coolest lunchbox in the office. It has a snazzy stainless steel design, includes a small attachable container (for dressings and such) and has a bamboo utensil set. No plastic, fits a lot of food, looks cool and is easy to clean! View product »

Ok, while this one isn't my favorite, it scares me and definitely caught my attention! But hey, someone might dig these reusable pads and panty liners to replace throwaway pads and tampons. View product »
