Allergy season is starting to bloom

Allergy season is coming up, and for a lot of us that means trying anything that will promise relief from allergy symptoms. It's excruciating - the constant sniff and cough, dry eyes, and lethargy - and then we have to choose between tons of both natural and unnatural allergy relief products. Do we poison ourselves with man-made stuff that generally works or do we keep trying natural products until we find one of those that does? While natural is always better, it's just hard to pin-point exactly which one will work for which particular allergy, as the natural cures are specific to an allergy or range of allergy.

Since I am allergic to everything, I end up taking the unnatural cure-all stuff. I started ramping up on benedryl several weeks ago to be sure I had enough tolerance to stay awake while taking it - it's the only thing that works for me. Some of my compatriots swear by Claritin or Zyrtec. I learned a lot from my earth-mama sisters when I posted a cry for advice on Facebook, and even though I don't rely on these things by themselves, I can tell a difference when I use certain natural products as supplements - stuff as simple as local honey.

I haven't tried the neti pot yet but have heard great things about it. I can vouch for Yogi's Cold Season tea though - it really helps temporarily relieve breathing issues.

I know there are tons of other homey ways to feel better during allergy season - what are some of your methods?
