It's kind of like having one of those dreams that isn't necessarily a nightmare, but that causes you to wake up feeling dirty somehow. Not the good kind of dirty either - the bad kind where you just want to take a shower and drink Sprite.
I'm of course talking about standing in front of your closet, hating everything that's in there. That sweater that you wore twice a week a few months ago? Bluck. That skirt - what were you thinking? It's times like these when shopping seems necessary, but you're so out of the mood, thanks to your lame-ass closet, that only washing down some Double Chocolate ice cream with that Sprite will cheer you up.
Not so fast, sister! Grab your sweets and get online. Polyvore is a wonderful way to get back in the mood. Never mind the prices on the products they list - the style creator tool is the main reason to go there. You can search through hundreds of great dresses, pants, shoes, and accessories and put together looks you like - it's like playing with paper dolls. A lot of style goddesses put the looks they've created on the site, too, so even if you aren't that creative with clothing, you can get some great ideas from others out there. Then, if you've got the kind of bank account that I do, you go shopping for knock-offs.There is hope for sucky-closet-and-shopping-malaise syndrome. Turn on to Polyvore and get inspired. Check out the look I put together with Polyvore, on the right! Now, I just gotta find the knock-offs.

I love this, it reminds me of that section in Style magazine with a whole look put together. Thanks Kim!
Thanks Amber! Yes I love their site. I can't believe I only recently discovered it!
